The program equips participants with practical strategies and evidence-based approaches to effectively support learners with dyslexia and other associated learning differences.
18 Units - Training Duration: 4 months
The CERTIFICATE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION Specialized training in Communication Disorder provides foundational knowledge in speech, language, hearing, and swallowing, covering typical development, common disorders—such as articulation, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders—as well as assessment and treatment methods, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Participants will also learn about the different types of communication disorders, including Social Communication Disorder, a diagnosis introduced in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), and the evidence-based approaches used to treat them.
